Hecate Laughed: An Allegory

Covered in Jam supported Hecate Laughed or, Mummy's Home for short:  a queer apocalyptic farce, overflowing with gender deviance, satire and blood-soaked horror.

A hilarious and shocking rocket trip of a play with an impact like a high-speed bowling ball to the gut, Mummy's Home follows a fractured family through a narrative of destruction. This unique and anarchic piece of queer theatre encapsulates all the RAGE, paranoia, and frankly laughable insanity of the modern world in the span of ninety minutes.

The play was written by Marcy Rix, assistant-directed by Marshall Romano, supported by Covered in Jam and performed at The Divine in Sept, 2026.
